Over the 15 year lifespan of this fleet, Knox County will achieve an estimated $75,000 in savings. Their new electric school buses have also proved to be more reliable in extreme weather than older diesel models. Due to the success of this pilot, Knox county plans on investing in 100% electric buses in the future.
