As the Controller at Integrity Energy, you will own financial reporting across the business. We are a scrappy, fast-moving business with a startup mentality. This is our first-ever finance function hire. You will be both in the weeds, developing a day-to-day finance function and principal financial advisor to the CEO and founder, especially as we consider potential acquisitions and/or extending organically into new lines of business.

You will own the following areas of responsibility:

Budgeting & Forecasting

Scenario Planning

Reporting & Reconciliation

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Report directly to the CEO and Founder


  • Ensure Integrity Energy is correctly compensated by our Energy Supplier partners for every account in our book of business.
  • Ensure internal agents and external partners, vendors, and agencies are correctly compensated.
  • Prepare financial statements and financial models, including scenario planning.
  • Analyze financial data and use financial models for forecasting.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing monthly results with plans and forecasts.
  • Establish an overall finance reporting cadence, including a formal monthly procedure for closing our books.
  • Bookkeeping, Quickbooks experience, AP and AR, bank reconciliation, preparation of quarterly loan covenant calculations and tax planning.
  • Help, as needed, with capital planning, financial modeling, and analysis for potential acquisitions.
  • Partner with the Salesforce & Executive teams to reconcile our income and commission payments with business systems and forecasts.
  • Partner with external contractors and advisors as needed.


  • New agent 1099, bank info, payment terms
  • Internal sales team payroll
  • Creating agent commission runs twice per month
  • Submit and process bank direct payments
  • Commission reconciliation process


  • 3-6 years experience in an FP&A and/or Accounting function in a rapidly growing business
  • Deep familiarity with QuickBooks
  • Experience with outside CPA firms and Tax Accountants
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Self-starter capable of digging in and building out core processes from scratch
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Expert MS Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious
